Sub-regional Workshops
Southern Afrika Workshop
Hosted in Lusaka, Zambia, the Southern Afrika sub-regional workshop will bring together youth from 11 countries( including some countries from central Afrika) for a hybrid one-day-long workshop.
Key thematic areas will be based on the caravan project’s 3 key messages: Resilience, Just Energy Transition & Youth Action.
When: October 4th, 2022

Eastern Afrika Workshop
Hosted in Nairobi, Kenya, the Eastern Afrika sub-regional workshop will being together youth from 11 countries( including some countries from central Afrika) for a hybrid one-day long workshop.
Key thematic areas will be based on the caravan project’s 3 key messages: Resilience, Just Energy Transition & Youth Action.
When: October 5th, 2022
Where: Nairobi, Kenya( with an online participation component for youth in the region)

Hosted in Nigeria, the Western Afrika sub-regional workshop will bring together youth from 15 countries( including some countries from central Afrika) for a hybrid one-day-long workshop.

When: October 6th, 2022
Where: Nigeria,( with an online participation component for youth in the region)

Hosted in Cairo, Egypt, the Northern Afrika sub-regional workshop will bring together youth from 11 countries for a hybrid 3-day-long workshop.
Key thematic areas will be based on the caravan project’s 3 key messages: Resilience, Just Energy Transition & Youth Action.
When: November 2nd-4th, 2022
Where: Cairo, Egypt,( with an online participation component for youth in the region)
Note: This workshop will bring together all select youth delegates from sub-regions for a 3 day workshop, a cultural activity, before moving to Sharm-El-Sheik for the in-person caravan, media briefing and finally COP 27 participation.
A total of 20 youth from across Afrika will be supported to attend COP 27
